Ingredients

  • 1 small fresh beetroot peeled and chopped
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup mixed berries fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds optional
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup optional
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Equipment

  • 1 High Speed Blender
  • 1 Sharp Chef's Knife
  • 1 Cutting Board
  • 1 Measuring Cups & Measuring Spoons
  • 1 Wide Mouth Glass Mason Jar or Serving Glasses
  • 1 Reusable Stainless Steel Smoothie Straw (Optional)

Method

  1. Wash and peel the beetroot, then chop it into small cubes. Peel the banana and prepare the remaining ingredients.
  2. Pour the almond milk and Greek yogurt into the blender first.
  3. Add the chopped beetroot, banana, mixed berries, chia seeds (if using), honey or maple syrup (if desired), and ice cubes.
  4. Blend on high speed for 45–60 seconds until completely smooth and creamy.
  5. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding a little more honey or maple syrup if needed. Blend again for a few seconds.
  6. Pour into chilled glasses or mason jars, garnish with fresh berries or chia seeds if desired, and enjoy immediately.

Notes

  • Use frozen berries for a thicker, colder smoothie.
  • For a milder flavor, use cooked or steamed beetroot.
  • Freeze the banana before blending for an extra creamy texture.
  • Add a scoop of vanilla protein powder for a protein-rich smoothie.
  • Adjust the consistency by adding more almond milk if the smoothie is too thick.
  • This smoothie is best enjoyed immediately after blending.
